Midway through archery season here in Texas and on the back side of the full moon, we see some excellent deer being taken early. But, the best is still to come. Bucks are starting to change their patterns and are breaking away from bachelor groups, and mature bucks are beginning to daylight! Now, being on the back side of the full moon, days are getting shorter, and we are in pre-rut with the seeking phase soon to begin. Be on the lookout for a north wind and cooler temps right now, and plan to be in the woods hunting during this event. With these changing patterns, you may land yourself a real trophy!
